Rene Lackey from Amira's House — Rene Lackey is a Dallas–Fort Worth native, registered nurse, mother of two daughters, and proud Mimi to two grandchildren. She is passionate about helping young women know God as their Father, embrace their Christ-centered identity, and flourish in every area of life. In 2019, Rene founded Amira’s House to provide a safe, grace-filled home for young women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Her greatest desire is that every woman who calls Amira’s House home encounters God's love and provision while discovering their identity in Christ. She is equally committed to creating an environment where each resident feels safe, accepted, and equipped with the skills needed to thrive in parenting, relationships, and life. Although Rene loves serving as the Executive Director of Amira’s House, she also enjoys traveling to visit family, dancing, exploring nature, and hiking with Lyla, the home's beloved emotional support dog.
