Rick Barnes, Tarrant County Tax Assessor/Collector — A longtime Tarrant County resident and fifth-generation Texan, Rick Barnes serves as the Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector. A Fort Worth native and proud Gladney baby, he built two successful businesses — a leadership consulting firm and an insurance agency — before dedicating himself to public service. He and his wife, Sheila, married 36 years, are active in their church and community and volunteer with The WARM Place, which provides grief support for children across the area.
